Love Where You Live 

 

Sunday afternoon was an enjoyable hour retrieving litter from around the Lawn Road and Osborne Rd areas including the childrens' play area. 

The friendly “Love where you live” event attracted Marie Finn, John Savage and Katherine Barbour.

Katherine said, “although no members of the public attended local people were aware of the event and appreciate the efforts of our local representatives in this area.”

Neil Kelly (pictured above while removing litter from the road at the event)who is standing as our Green Party hopeful in next month's local elections also thanked everyone for participating in what became a joined up Labour and Green activity for the Portswood community. 

Issues discussed were;

• Lack of public toilets
• Park & Ride
• Homelessness and Drug Addiction.
