Southampton City Vision consultation now open

14 February 2020

Southampton City Council is running a consultation on "Southampton City Vision", the Council’s new Local Plan which, when complete, will set out what development can take place across the city over the next 20 years and beyond.

This will have to include finding sites for around 20,000 new homes by 2040, new places where people can work and businesses can run, as well as all the infrastructure and facilities that people need to live and work. The city is at the start of the process of developing this new plan and they want input from the public, which can be done via their website (http://www.southampton.gov.uk/cityvisionhaveyoursay) or via paper copies in local libraries, Sure Start Centres and at the Civic Centre until April 19th.

We will be holding a discussion at our next Green Party meeting to share ideas about what we as individual members and as a local Party would like to see included in the plan in order to make our city as green, clean and sustainable as possible.
