Greens in Southampton have a councillor in two of the City’s wards. Matt Renyard in Coxford and Katherine Barbour in Portswood.
The city has elections in 2026 where we hope to increase representation on the council.

JUNE SOUTHAMPTON GREEN PARTY Great Big Green Plastic free Picnic
Where – Southampton Common Playpark, The Avenue, Southampton, SO15 7NN
When – Sunday 8th of June, from midday to 3pm
Come and join us for a plastic free picnic (this means only reusable plastic is allowed).
We will be meeting at the nature play area which is close to The Cowherds on The Avenue, fun for children of all ages. We hope to play some fun outdoor games so bring along your favourite games.
Bring your own picnic (please NO BBQs), blankets, camping chairs etc.
There is a refreshment kiosk selling ice cream, drinks and hot and cold food if you prefer. There is also an onsite toilet and baby changing area that is open when the kiosk is open.
Nearby there is also the Hawthorns Urban Wildlife Centre and café with indoor seating and toilets.
