As Part of the South East Young Greens 2018 Tour, a public meeting with a panel of several YG members and Jonathan Bartley, commencing at 19.00hrs  will take place at:-

St Denys Church, Dundee Road, SO17 2ND

Southampton.

The world in 2018 is rife with challenges. Spiralling inequality, intensifying global conflict, the rise of the far right and steady steps bringing us closer to catastrophic climate change. 

In the UK, we're faced with Brexit, continuing austerity, attacks on migrants, the expansion of fossil fuel extraction, a health service in crisis and the disasters of privatisation borne out in the collapse of Carillion. 

Southampton is not immune either. Thanks to the Tory austerity agenda, our libraries are facing closure, and our local health care facilities, including NHS walk-ins and community pharmacies, are suffering from severe funding cuts.

But despite the doom and gloom, there is a fertile movement of resistance and for change. Whether it be the Lancashire residents fighting fracking, or the trade unionists standing up for, and winning, rights for workers, people
